I am not a makeup girl. I have used the same products for years, and I only buy new things if I run out of my old favorites. Needless to say, my tried-and-true foundation was down to it's last drop, so I decided to try something new. My favorite foundation is the MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15. My skin is very light, so I have a hard time matching foundation with my skin tone. I ended up buying the lightest shade (Linen 1). My skin type is combination, with some acne and discoloration. My requirements for a good foundation are medium coverage, a light smell, and lasting power. I bought this at The Cosmetics Company store in Concord, NC. They have discounted prices for higher-end makeup. As for the price, this tube is 1 Fluid Oz for a whopping $17 dollars. It's a little more than I usually spend, but it's worth it for better skin. I only "invest" in makeup that is on my skin all day. I always wear sunscreen, and I wish this product had some. Although it is lacking in sun protection, I use an SPF 30 moisturizer underneath my makeup. SPF is VERY IMPORTANT. I was a lifeguard for many years and never used sun protection, and I regret that all the time. Overall, I am very happy with this product. Here is my point-by-point review!
Price: Moderate but reasonable (3)
Color: Awesome-It matched with my very light skin tone with ease (5)
Lasting Power: It stayed all through my work day, and through a party at night (5)
Overall: I really love this foundation! It's light enough to look natural but still corrects imperfections and keeps my T-zone matte. It lasted all day, and the tube is easy to carry around in a small purse. Bulky, glass tubes are a pet peeve of mine. I would totally buy this again!
