April is a month that is blooming with beautiful flowers, the anticipation of summertime, and the end of school. As a collegiate myself, I know how busy April can be. Personally, I find myself in the library for hours only to finally emerge in the dark at midnight.

Amidst all of the April craziness, I have found that college is really a life-changing experience. I have never been more challenged, or more proud of my accomplishments. There is nobody holding your hand through this process. As the end of my freshman year comes to a close, I realize that I have started becoming the woman I want to be.
I came into college with a much different plan, and that's okay. Deciding to pursue medicine has turned my life upside-down, but in a very good way. I feel more pressure to perform well, and I enjoy the challenges that come with that pressure.
I been able to spend my time the way I want to, and I have definitely become more independent.
Although college is very difficult, I am happier here than anywhere else. I have joined a sorority (that I love), met my best friends, and earned a 4.0 GPA my first semester of college.
Through a lot of hard work and late nights, I can say that I have given this year my "all". I am so happy at my little college in my little cubicle in the library basement (where I am currently writing).
As scary as college seems, it is a crazy wonderful ride.
Getting through this last month has included a lot of fun things along with the stressful stuff.

I was able to celebrate Chi Omega's annual Spring Tea with my best friend and little, Cara.

I was also able to attend Chi Omega's formal, White Carnation, with my boyfriend.
I can't wait to see what this summer and the upcoming years will bring!
Happy April!
